Assignment 2, take 2 in progress

We decided to focus on a new principle: optical illusion in order to stimulate visitors of Delft to follow a certain direction:


This design focuses on adding a visual illusion to the concept. The rectangles which build up the circle create a motion effect when walking towards it. When the bevels are pointing in one direction, the circle appears to rotating one way. If you mirror the bezels of the rectangles, the circles rotates in the opposite way. This way the viewer will actually see the circle moving when moving towards it, hopefully guiding him/her in the right direction.

    Hi group A, this is group S, the one who should be giving feedback on your progress.

    First of all we would like to comment on the fact that it is hard to find the actual ways of responding on your blog posts. for instance, We can't give any reaction on the presented concept pages (except for concept 2 which is empty). Maybe there is a way of improving this? Adding categories on your types of posts gives a better overview of your blog. For instance like concept 2 progress, interesting stuff, etc.

    that's our first comments, we'll post something on the concept later on.

    Hi group A, this is group S, the one who should be giving feedback on your progress.

    Looking at your new Idea approach, we ave some comments ready!

    We like the focus on the optical illusion, but we're wondering if it will have its proper effect on people. when you look on your the first version of the idea (the green one) the focus point is captured like a dot. The text in the blue version simply is not able to capture the same properties as the dot. We are wondering if the effect isn't lost in the new version.

    Second, the blue red contrast seems to draw much more attention than the text, which is not working for your approuch. maybe picking something less striking than red?

    We like the symbolic approach of the information, but maybe you should create something more delft specific icons? that's what we're working on.
